Family Sunday Park

It seems to be a tradition already that every Sunday we head to the city's park with our mountain bikes and inline blades. My mom had to wake us up that early while she was on her jogging shoes.hahahhaha!

We did spend more than an hour at the park and I did my practice driving on our family van. Yepey!!!! I have to learn really how to maneuver the vehicles since my job requires a number of sudden travels.

If the weather continues to be good, perhaps in the coming days, my husband and I can hit the road again with our bikes.

My Blogging Family

General Santos City Bloggers

When we were not that busy yet on our store and on my work, my sister, husband and I usually joined General Santos City bloggers' getaway.

We had this picture when we were invited to a local restaurant. We simply had fun and good meals.

They plurk nowadays but we simply didn't have the time to join them. Now, we missed most of their activities, but we still hope to join them in the coming months.

My Co-Workers a.k.a Mentors-Friends

These are my other co-workers before when I stayed in Zamboanga City for seven years as one of the administrators. They are way older than me but I do consider them as source of wisdom and sisterly love.

I really miss them a lot and my former dean. I wish to see them though in my next visit to my old city.

My Other Closer Friends

When I grew up in Gensan, I only had one closest friend, but we simply drifted off from one another that I had to look for other friends. I ended up with these two classmates of mine from college.

One of them was my dean from my previous school. Funny, how things are when you grow older but still buddies.

My other friend is still single but searches for another love. We still have to play matchmaking for our friend.

Who Were You In High School?

You Were the Brainy Kid

In high school, you were acing AP classes or hanging out in the computer lab.

You may have been a bit of a geek back then, but now you're a total success!

Are You Like Your Mom?

You Are Totally Like Your Mom

You and your mom are practically clones.

You think alike, and you even seem to read each other's minds.

And while you get along well now, you probably fought when you were a teenager.

You're definitely you're mother's child... and that's just fine with you.

Best Friends: Family

On the wedding day of one of my best friends,
the groom could only smile about our incessant complaints LOL!

Do you have friends who have been with you since you were mouth drooling or with running nose or when you had your first heart aches? I did and they have been my friends for 22 years now.

We stand by one another through wedding, birthdays, births and deaths and insanities. hahhahah! I miss them a lot though.

My Blogger-Friends

with my husband, sister and blogger-friends

When we were just starting with our blogging passion, we met sweet people from the blogging community here in Gensan. This photo in December 2008 was our second get together since Mindanao Bloggers Summit. We had great time singing from Video K. hahahahah!

We have this picture when the Gensan Bloggers joined the Davao City bloggers for Food Appreciation Tour(FAT). We then had great time putting on our Zipline gears and wailed over meters of suspended rope. hahhahah!

Make Your Kid Love Books

Kids copy what they see from their elders. So, if you want your kid to adopt your passion for something, show it to him and invite him to join you. You will both love the time and the fun.

Who does not like Jollibee? My kid and nephew sure love this big guy. I think for one, they like the chicken and spaghetti and the toys!

Got this old picture of my kid hanging on with Jollibee.

Concert with Family

Concert Center Stage

with younger sister, Xeria

A day before Father's Day, we joined the TM Astig Concert of Parokya ni Edgar. We were quite early for the concert but the roof top area of KCC Mall Gensan where the concert was held, was already half-filled.

We had fun with the first local band that played but were asked to go right away since my parents forced us to go home after hearing a local violence in a neighboring municipality. Arrrgggh!

The Charles Angels (wannabe's)

We simply love to have some fun camera moments. In celebration of Fathers' Day and my kid's birthday, we ended at Gumasa, Glan and had the fun time of our camera life. hahahhaha!

My other sisters were just as bold!

The Struggle of a Working Mom

After a week of work as a project officer in a semi-private organization, I somehow get used to my 8-hour job (that sometimes extends to 10-15 hours), new colleagues and mentally and physically challenging pressures. I could not count the number of meetings that I had to attend last week from the 4-days of my office assumption.

I feel guilty with my kid since I have very meager time to help him out in school. It is just a relief that the entire family helps and supports me and the schedule transition.

I am bound to leave for Kidapawan City tomorrow, a 4-hour road trip from General Santos City and may stay over night, should the transportation will constrain me.

Being a working mom is quite a job in a circus, too many works but with too little time.

Our Family Celebration

with house helpers, parents and siblings, and the little boys

What could be more fun than celebrate occasions like birthday and Father's Day with loved ones? I did enjoy the weekend with the preparation we had to make for my kid's birthday and my pop's and husband's big day.

We had few hours in the fine white sand of Brod Louie Resort and Spa in Gumasa, Glad but we enjoyed the occasion well. We concluded our celebration with a sumptuous dinner at home.

Fun Father's Day Celebration

Father's Day was on the very day of my kid's birth. We simply hit the road and went to an hour of road travel to a very nice beach here in Gumasa, Glan. The sand was white and fine and the surrounding was simply captivating.

We wish to plunge into their white waters but at that morning, the sea was consumed with low tide that we went home around lunch time.

We had fun, and my father and kid had forsure, enjoyed the time away from works and house chores. Happy fathers' day to all dad's.

My Distant Sister

with my younger sibling and nephew

I have three other siblings, but my sister, Mary Anne who works as a Electrical Project Designer, opted to work outside our city. We only get to see her whenever there is a family occasion or if her work permits her to travel.

We really miss her a lot if there are family celebrations. We can only contend ourselves with phone and internet calls and text messages. Distant or not, I love my sibling.

Family Dining

On my parents' wedding anniversary

One thing we always love to do is dine in a resto bar. Although, it drains our budget but it is always quite fun to eat and celebrate together.

We normally hang out in the same place with common menu selections.hahhahahah! We even all agree on the kind of food we must order.

How Do You Really Feel About Your Family?

You Feel at Peace With Your Family

You are very quick to forgive your family for wrongdoings. You don't expect them to be perfect, and you try to help them out whenever it's possible.

You have confidence in your family to take care of itself and make good decisions. You especially have this confidence in the younger generation.

While your parents made mistakes, you forgive them and accept them for who they are.

You are honest and very outspoken with your family. You sometimes hurt feelings by saying things they don't want to hear.

Family Getaway: Get Wet

with my other family members on a hot afternoon

Whenever we have the time and budget, we simply hit the road and go somewhere, like the local pool. The kids simply love the time!

We Rock!

There is no perfect formula to raise a family. Everything is a test of character, and common sense. My family is quite crazy; we have our own lapses but perfect or not, you can't break from family. So, we might as well endure or accept it.hahhahahah!

*Officially, as the name suggests, the holiday celebrate people who are serving or were serving the Russian Armed Forces (both men and women). But the congratulations are traditionally, nationally accepted by all fathers, other adult men and male children as well.[citation needed]
**In China (under the title of Republic of China, still under Nationalist rule at the time), Father's Day on August 8 was first held in Shanghai in 1945.
