Our Parents

My mom is a retired naval officer while my mom has been a businesswoman since we were pretty younger. They are both from extreme personalities, my mom as a risk – taker while my pop as play – by – the book person. So, most of the time, we see them bickering but as they get older, they seem to be complacent and tolerant of each other’s difference. LOL!

My mom is still very hardworking that even if she’s sick, you will see her manning our furniture business and all.

I hope to get the tenacity of my mother and the wisdom of my pop, but I can only learn from them, right?

When resources are enough, we wish we can bring them abroad for a family treat. Perhaps, one day, that will also come.

My Complaining Sister

We recently joined a bloggers' party in a local restaurant along with other bloggers from Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City. Ordinary days for me only include shorts and tee - shirt as my usual attire but last night, I had worn my sexy party tops and cute jeans and sandals. My sister took the liberty to get some pictures of us together, and only then, I realized how slimmer I had become from regular jogging and diet.

She only lamented her insecurities as she endures bulging belly lumps and unwanted weights from beer drinking and eating. She wanted to join me in my morning regimen, but, as always, she has reasons to miss the exercise.

Weight loss is quite a global problem; some do special diet, cosmetic surgery or consider reviews like apidexin reviews for weight - loss pills.

I only wish I can sustain my will to keep my jogging lasts through school days otherwise I shall be back to my old big weights again and my sister shall do the teasing herself.

Father's Day Soon

Just as mothers celebrate Mother's Day every second Sunday of May, the gentlemen have their big day every third Sunday of June.

This day commemorates the efforts of all dads and grandfathers, by blood or not, and all the mothers who act as fathers.

As a mom, it is quite difficult but sweet to raise a family. So, it is always nice to commend the best works in spite of lapses the fathers have given their family and kids.

Some nations, however, celebrate the old man's day on other dates. But, anyhow, the most significant thing is, we remember our popsies and remind them again that they are well loved.

Family Drivers Here

Since I am back to jogging but have to wake up late, I decided to drive our motorbike again. And, although I had been driving for more than a year only on few occasions, I could still feel my fear and reluctance. But, driving is only limited to my pop, husband and sibling, thus, when they are not at all available, I am left to my recourse to bring myself to where I should go. I just have to muster all efforts to contain my fear and hit the road.

As soon as the motorbike’s registration shall be ok, I wish to bring the bike again around the city to at least get used to driving solo and finally, bringing my kid with me. I could not simply risk his life while I battle my road fear. I guess I call that being smart, huh. Hahhahahah!
So, tomorrow shall be another day of exercise and driving again.

Another Year of Aging for Us

Once May kicks in, my entire family celebrates strings of birthdays every month and we are only pretty excited as we enjoy our special days with friends and family.

Last May 16, we joined our younger sibling in Puerto Galera for some birthday celebration by the sea. We enjoyed fish feeding, snorkeling and swimming. My husband celebrated his May birthday with his kin as he stays in Zamboanga City.

But, this June, my kid and I have our own days. My other sibling suggests that we will just enjoy the day in a spring resort.

With my age way past the calendar, I can only contain aging signs including wrinkles and weight gains. I do exercise every morning but I wish to have wrinkle creams to remedy the distracting fine lines.

I guess when one gets old he can feel younger while the skin speaks otherwise. As for my case, I can only find interventions to keep aging signs at bay.

Sibling Party

We had the chance to join the gathering of bloggers from SOCCSARGEN bloggers along with Cagayan de Oro and Davao City bloggers. We were supposed to have a two – day safari fun from Gensan to the lands of Lake Sebu for zipline adventure among others. But, since I couldn’t bring my kid, I had to miss the event.

Thus, my sister and I could only enjoy the party with good food and music and great people at a fellow blogger’s place, Piyesta in Robinson’s. There were a good number of new faces as we met the old ones from Mindanao Bloggers Summit in 2007 and Davao FAT escapade last year.
We bid the folks goodbye much earlier as I knew my kid would still be waiting. I just hope the bloggers’ trip will be grand and fun.

My Exercise - Procastinating Sister

My sister promised that she would join me in my morning joggings. So, after reminding her several times that she had to wake up, she simply gave her strong yes.

But, when I tagged her this morning to wake up and dress up already, she had the excuse that the rain can make her biking difficult. So, I simply dragged my running shoes on my motorbike and hit the road. Simply put, I jogged alone.

I quite notice that most women who jogged and did taebo and taichi are the ones that have excess weights. I have my belly lumps that I have been wanting to remove, so, I find jogging and diet as my remedy.

Physical exercises are never easy and I can't blame others who would rather try other means just to cut down their weights including product supplements, cosmetic surgeries and foods that burn fat for fast results.

Appearance has a strong link to self confidence and when they see unwanted bulges, it is not surprising that their confidence is undermined, thus, they seek interventions to cut the excess weights. And, I commend those who have strong will to take care of themselves.

My Kid on Ice Skating

with my sister and kid in Mall off Asia ice skating rink

my persistent - extreme - sport - inclined kid

My kid had tried almost every recreation he can play with and that includes biking, inline blading, bungee jumping, snorkeling, and now ice skating. Well, the thing is he wanted to do games in a more extreme way. I can only hold my breath and pray he is only safe.

So, after his coaxing, he indeed tried the ice skating and although he fell down twice on his butt, he simply continued running on the ice.

Now, he wanted to try again. Geez!

Family Treat: Ice Cream and Halo Halo

Chowking's Halo Halo - My Personal Favorite

With the extreme heat in the Philippines, we simply savor cold stuffs like ice cream and our family's choice, Chowking Halo Halo. Chowking did not pay me for this post but because I am head over heals in love with their halo-halo. hahhahahha! I tried other halo - halo, but only Chowking's and the one we tried along Marbel road that top my list.

So, whenever we can I brought my kid, siblings for a treat, ice or halo halo special. Even if we tried other treats, nothing can match cold sweet cheers from our favorite stores. hahahhah!

Marital Issues

It is not an exclusive problem that couples suffer from sexual displeasure from incompetence and something else. And, this concern expands to any race, culture and religion. I am pretty sure they would want interventions.

Normally, local experts can give advices and alternatives to remedy their dilemma and online sites can be as helpful too. Online sites do provide massive resources on improving sexual encounters including enzyte reviews to help the gentlemen do their thing.

I have seen, heard and read couples breaking up because of unsatisfied sexual relationships and it is always relieving to know that interventions are there to address this concern and be not an issue anymore.

Wacky Moment with Siblings

with my younger sisters in Puerto Galera trip

We had the chance to visit our younger sibling who is working in Manila and joined her on her birthday on the fine sand of Puerto Galera.

So, after hours of travel from our homeplace to White Beach, Puerto Galllera, we enjoyed the fun head in snorkeling, fish feeding and swimming.

The trip was a little pricey but it was indeed worth the trip.

My Kid on Bungee Jumping

in Mall of Asia on 20 - foot bungee jumping

During our trip to Manila, my kid had a fun time of his life as he did fun games in some malls, and had the chance to even do bungee jumping. Geez! At 80.00 for 3 minutes, I heard him all laughing and shouting as he moved up and down with his rubber holders.

He asked me if he can play again, I can only see my head spinning again. hahhahah!

Family Exercise

my family on Sunday morning

I missed the time when I can just drag my entire family to the running tracks and just do our biking, jogging and walking. In fact, even our little nephew on stroller joined the fun.

Lately, however, they are just too lazy to hit the morning road. So, I jog alone and sometimes, I bring my kid with me along with his inline blades and with a promise that we will head to the local beach for a short swim.

I really don't look big but I don't quite like it when I see unwanted belly bulges or big leg thighs that I can't fit into my pants again. Further, my back pains continue to torment me when I don't do my morning exercises.

Not a good number of Filipinos are into family or individual exercises. And, with poor lifestyle and eating habits, we are now at risk of lifestyle - related diseases like heart attacks, diabetes and strokes.

Thus, the Department of Health encourages all Filipinos to exercise and have healthy lifestyles and to read reviews like nuphedragen review to avoid any health problem.

It is quite alarming that even the toddlers are now prone to obesity and diabetes. For this reason, I drag my kid to physical activities, even just games with his playmates to keep his weight down.

Health is precious and we can keep it in superb state if we take care of ourselves well.

Blogging Sisters

my sister blogging with her notebook just placed under the table

My sister, Tammy, has her notebook and she has stopped from blogging for a few months when her notebook was kept in a long storage room. LOL!

But, now that she has her unit, we are both filling our times blogging and surfing. Geez! You would normally see us on tic-tac with our keyboards.

And, when I saw the above pictures again, I cant help but laugh because we can just blog anywhere and everywhere. hahahhahha!

On Kids School Stuffs Hunt

My mom has been pounding on us to locate the old uniforms of the kids as school classes will start sometime in June. She even had purchased the school notebooks and things of my nephew while I have to wait a little longer to buy my kid's stuffs.

The kids have quite enjoyed their long vacations that in fact, my kid would rather not go to school anymore. Geez! His liking for PSP games , and movies are keeping him from looking forward to school days when games are no-no.

I am still in search of those uniforms and unless my search and rescue operation produces those uniforms, my mom wont stop nagging me. lol!

Family Recreation and More

My family simply loves watching movies and swimming. And, we are only lucky that our city has a local beach accessible to the general public.

However, whenever we can, we hit some resorts for their swimming pool and other amenities. If I remember it well, my in-laws would want to put up a swimming pool in the family lot, so, we will heavily need some swimming pool supplies to start the pool and keep it going. For now, commercial pools will do the task.

And, before classes will resume in June, we shall commend the end of summer through a fun concert by the sea this Sunday. I heard a national rock band will highlight the evening. The family is simply too excited to have another swim again with all the complementary perks. Hahhahha!

Strings of Family Birthdays

Once the month of May kicks in, the family celebrates a monthly birthday and the pockets can indeed scream of overzealous sign for depletion. Hahahhahahah!

But, birthdays are supposed to be fun and grand or simple celebrations will do provided that we are all healthy and are together.

I guess that means saving extra bucks to even have a birthday cake on the table. But, I had my birthday wish already, vacation and rest. As for the material things, well, I can only accept them, right? I don’t want to be snob about denying gifts and freebies for my birthday. Hahahaah!
My sister is done with her May birthday, so my birthday and my kid’s are next. So, I should remind my loved ones about what I want for my big day.

Our Little Entertainer

our nasty bugger- isn't he cute? hahahhah!

We quite adore this little bugger we have at home. Not only that he likes to copycat all that he sees on screens, he also likes to show off his dancing, howling and fancy moves to us.
My parents simply want to play with him especially after a long day’s work. Although, the other kids at home become too cranky as the little bugger – entertainer grabs their toys and the rest of their things.

Of course, as a toddler, there are times when he can get nasty that we wish we can send him to planet Mars. Hahhahhaha! But, boys are always boys and kids only give delight regardless of their evil spirits. Hahahahhahaha!

Poor Lanky Nephew

During our one (1) week travel in Manila, my parents and sister updated us that my youngest nephew had been vomiting. I right away remembered the same scenario when my kid was hospitalized years ago simply because of lactose intolerance. However, my nephew had contracted something else that he was advised to be admitted in a hospital due observation and treatment. Poor thing he is barely two years old and only has an average body frame.

My sister showed pictures when he was placed in IV. We could only imagine his shrieking wail and cries. And, with his nasty temper, he can really throw a good fit and hit everyone on his way. Hahahhahah!

Now that we are back home, we had seen him lost more pounds from his illness, however, old self is back, nasty and wacky. But, we love him that way than being sick.

My parents can only complain of his medical bills. If only they have cheap health insurance, they could have paid less from the medicines and hospitalizations.

Insurance payments can be burdensome but you can only be grateful that you had one in times of need.

Groggy Days for Us

I only drink in social events and three glasses would be my top but the entire stay in Manila and back home made me all dizzy. This was even worsened from the wavy trips to and fro Puerto Galera and Batangas Pier.

It has been four days since we are back but I still feel my head light and cranky although my sister was able to recover much faster than I do. At least, the early sleeps and normal works are back again. I just missed going back to jogging and taebo. This is the thing with skipping exercises, I became lazy again and had all the reasons to miss the running track. Sigh!

But, as soon as I get fully recharged from the trip, I shall drag my lovely a$$s$$s$$ and running shoes again.

Summer Sibling Fun in Puerto Galera

Last May 15, my two younger siblings and I along with my kid headed to Batangas Pier and boarded the early ferry to White Heaven Beach, Puerto Galera. We brought our tent with us just in case the rooms would be pricey. The travel took a good 1 hour and 15 minutes but it was all wavy that put my ward all at asleep and simply leaned on me the entire time. At the end of the trip, I felt all my muscles numb and cramped. Hahahhahah!

We did not use the tent but we were able to find a family room with three double beds, CR, air-conditioned with TV only at 1300.00/day. It was enough to enjoy and after that we had a good brunch and the prices were simply unbelievable. At less than 300.00, we had a hearty meal. We were expecting that the prices would be humungous. We spent the day fish snorkeling, swimming and more eating. My kid simply enjoyed while we wandered around the place.

The night was more feisty though with local concert, fire dancing and body massages. Geez! It was heaven to me, not to mention that the beach was all clear and the white sand was quite fine. Next year will be another trip to another place. Hmnnn, Boracay seems appealing.

Family on New Job Search

My sister is an electrical engineer and has a fair share of experience in electrical design. She quite enjoys the perks of her work although she has her complaints too. For one, she complains about her humungous withholding tax. Hahahaha!

Working in the Philippines always means hard work. But, if you want to go for comfortable and decent living, then, it means working the hardest and trying multiple jobs if possible. Worse, you can’t even find jobs that easy.

There are other media to find for a job and I am pretty sure that most Filipinos are interested to have works. It is by this reason that two (2) of my family members shall head abroad for a more promising career.

A number of Filipinos are OFWs who choose to leave their families behind to have better works. I just hope that the Philippine government will find ways to keep employment opportunities and compensation and family living better so Filipinos won’t have to leave.

Extreme Sports for my Kid

I am basically an introvert person although once in awhile, I enjoy social events. My relaxation simply includes reading and movie watching. Quite dull, huh! Hahhaahha! The most extreme I had ever done was traverse zip line for a few meters above water.

But, my husband is into extreme sports, thus, he only influences his kid. Surprisingly, my kid simply adore any adrenaline – rush activity. He started with exhibition biking at age 4, inline blades when he was 6, wall climbing and bungee jumping at 7. Later though he will try ice skating and zip line. I guess as he gets old, he will acquire as many adventurous experiences as he can. As a mother, I can only dread the possible fear knowing he will be at risk.

Living is supposed to be fun, I always go for safe fun. I just hope my kid will live around this basic definition of recreation, otherwise, I can just tie his leg to keep him constrained. Hahahhahah!

Mall Hopping Everyday

We have been away from one for good 5 days now and since my sister works every day, we get to see her in a mall just next to her office and from there, we get to go to anywhere. Thus, we are always in malls after another. Hahhahhahah!

My kid had to complain about long walks and dizzy rides as we do mall hopping. At the end of the day’s window shopping, we are dead beat. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

With a number of malls in Manila, you can’t get enough. Sometimes, I just want to sit down and chill because of fatigue and extreme heat.

This afternoon though will be another trip to Mall of Asia. Hahahhahah!

Sick Mom, Sick Kids

Because of the weather shifts from extreme heat to cold, we only suffered from colds and flu. The kids had coughs while my mom and I had flu.  We took all our medicines and rest, and happened to get body massages too just to get relieved.

I rarely get sick but when I don't sleep well, it will only be a  matter of days that I get my temperature up a higher notch.

So, while everyone else are fully recovered from our illnesses, my mom however continues to endure her dry cough and weak state. She went through laboratory tests but everything is normal for her except for high sugar level. Her doctors had prescribed her some medicines but she  could only feel slight improvements.

I wish to look for good  vitamin supplements  to help us get all the boosted immunity especially that the rainy season will soon come.

For now, we need good rest, healthy diet and regular exercise and  possible  vitamins soon.

Rosilie

Family Bonding Time

My younger sister had asked our other sibling to join her to keep her company although we were previously scheduled for a May trip to join her on her birthday. We will be spending most of our time indoors as she works but we will have our mall and tour times once she is done. Thus, bonding time is scheduled to afternoon. But, weekend seems promising. I guess TV, notebook, and PSP will keep us entertained for the meantime. My youngest sibling though is only more excited to have us. She is indeed bored. Hahhahahah! She will also join us when we return to Gensan.

I promise my kid that we will be traveling abroad next year. With enough budget, perhaps, I can pull that off next summer. Vacation is never fun when you have limited resources, thus, I can only work harder.

We hope to visit Singapore and Malaysia, perhaps, my other family members will be all settled there, so, they can have us and make a good tour of the place.
We can only be hopeful.

Rosilie

Travel Pasalubong, Filipino Family Habit

Whenever someone travels, it is only very typical for Filipinos to bring freebies or “pasalubong” as gifts to the ones they will be meeting. I guess if you are traveling, this can be both a pressure and delight. Hahhaahhah!

I have to bring our luggage together with an ice chest full of seafoods for my siblings. My mom graciously bought and packed them, thus, making me carry more loads than necessary. My pop however asked my kid to bring him his pasalubong once we get back home. Sigh!!!! Pressures of carrying and buying indeed!

But, more than the ill sides of pasalubong, it actually warms the heart that you can bring simple delight to the ones who will be receiving them. So, I guess, pasalubongs are ok.

Good thing that my siblings are enjoying the national holiday because it’s election time. They can meet us at the airport and help us with the baggage and carry their pasalubong. Hahahahha!

Family Weight Loss Program

When we were still in Zamboanga, I used to head to the local sports complex for a run and for badminton with my best friend and my family. Somehow, my weight was cut much because of extreme diet and too active lifestyle.

But, when I moved to Gensan City, I always had reasons to miss my regular joggings, and just be contented with movie watchings making all my lumps bigger and heavier.

So, when classes were officially off, I forced myself to be on my running shoes again. Indeed, losing weight is never easy. I have to drag my family to either do brisk walking or jogging and then, head to the beach to freshen off.

Weight loss is a difficult problem that some will have to go through cosmetic surgery just to see fast results while others complement their exercise with pills like alli  to keep their weights down.

There are some illnesses that can be attributed to obesity, thus, it pays to be healthy and fab!

Rosilie

Family Voting Habit

My parents and sibling did not send us off to the airport since they would be heading to their local precincts to vote. My sister and I chose not to vote since she is not registered and I haven’t updated my vote transfer from Zamboanga to Gensan.

I know if I have to make a change, I should have casted my vote. But, I can only be hopeful that the ones who have voted and who are still voting will choose their leaders wisely. The fate of the coming six years will entirely rely on the chosen leaders.

The entire nation and even the politician – candidates are however anxious about the efficiency and effectiveness of some PCOS machines that are supposed to receive and count the votes.
We can only be hopeful that leaders who will be winning shall be humble enough to carry out their promises of change and development while those who will be losing shall face their defeats with courage and acceptance.

Family Travel

My kid and I as I type are on board Cebu Pacific from Gensan City to head to Manila to meet my younger sisters. We will be staying there for a week and hope we can have a good rest and a nice stay as we head to some tourist spots. On top of this list, my kid would want to visit Oceanic Park and some good zoos he only happens to see on TV. I guess, the days will be very busy, huh.

I am however worried that my cellphone picks the wrong timing when I cant even send messages. Good thing though that I was able to call my sister to tell her that we are already on board.

In spite of the air travel, I am using my notebook to still write some posts and update my blogs. I could not waste time when my days are already packed with mall walls, local trips and more article writing.

Geez! I don’t even know how I can call it a vacation. Hahahahahha!

Sick Family Here

With the weather shifts from extreme cold and hot, we can't keep but getting all sick from flu. The young ones caught some colds. So, it was quite a pity to see them all coughing and feverish.

With my deprived sleeps, I was all weak that my immunity did not  keep up too, thus, I had to endure a bad flu. I had to miss working and my morning jogs for several days just to get recharged. Now, that we are ok except for my mom, things are back to normal.

My normal days mean sleeping and eating late while working hard. I badly need a good  eye cream  to keep the wrinkles and eye dark circles less visible.

Weathers and poor lifestyles can make anyone really sick or stressed out. I just hope the weather gets stable and that I can keep up with my work.

Family Reunion in Facebook

Most net users worldwide spend an average of five (5) online accessing social media like Youtube, Facebook and Twitter among other possible sites.

Funny thing though that aside from cellphone for text and calls, families and friends now use computer technology to communicate. Now, long lost friends and families are united again.

We can actually have my distant cousins exchange comments and all in Facebook alone. Great! At least, the distance is not a big issue anymore. We can sched real reunions as soon as  we can.

I am pretty sure other families and friends share the same sentiments too. Cheers toFacebook! hahahaha!

My Pop is Back

Three (3) my family members left for their individual travels. The house then was almost empty leaving me and my cousin as the only drivers at home.

Somehow, it was quite strange and unlikely as we have to do things on our own.  My mom had to bring my nephew to our store just to attend to his needs.

But, after weeks of travel, my pop had finally arrived in time for the May 10 election.  So, he is back to driving us around.hhahhahah!

We will be traveling ourselves too tomorrow while everyone else shall be on their voting areas. When we go home, my other sibling can join us and my husband can go home too. Then, things shall be the way they were. Yepey!

Wacky Wild Kids

Since the kids are on school vacation, they simply stay at home or at our store to keep a good watch on them. Normally, they just play with the other kids, watch movies, or play with their toys. But, as they get all relaxed, they leave the place in havoc. Sigh! Kids are indeed kids when they know how to cause a good mess.

Now, some of the store's stuffs are misplaced that I need another good set of  office supplies  to replace the old ones.

It will be a matter of four (4) weeks when they shall be off to their school again. For the meantime, we just have to continue keeping them checked.

The youngest bugger  at home leaves everyone all shouting as he does his things. hahahahahah! Geez! I dont know how nannies can live with kids the whole time. hahahhahahahah But we simply love them, so, we will just have to deal with them.

We will be on Travel

I decided to stay at home after a bad incident yesterday with my kid. This will also give us a chance to pack our things as we will be off to travel tomorrow for a week's vacation.

My kid is pretty excited though as he wants to see the oceanic park and the zoos once we arrive my sister's place.

I just have to finish writing, then, I can sack all the stuffs. Hahhahahah! I must not forget our tent as we will be heading to Puerto Gallera for my sister's birthday bash!

Wish it will be one safe and happy trip for us.

My Kid: Mall Alone

I was all very busy for almost two (2) weeks as I wrote articles everyday for more than several hours. But, when power interruptions kicked in, I would bring my kid to the mall, so, he could play while I was on writing.

What seemed to be an ordinary afternoon for me turned quite a trouble as my mom and I got missed one another as she picked up the kid. Her cellphone didnt work well, so, I got all my messages delayed. Thinking that she had the kids, I went to our store alone.

Two hours later, my mom arrived but I did not ask her about my kid. Until I saw my son with his sad look. I teased him about leaving me behind when he burst in tears telling me that I left him behind.  I had the panic attack already when he narrated how he waited for and decided to just walk from the mall to our store. Goodness! He could have been bumped by a vehicle or caught by the bad guys. I feel so terrible that I was really close to losing him.

So, it was a worst learning experience me. I wont be working at the malls again while he fends for himself. I feel like I am the baddest mother. Sigh!

I wish we can get rid of the trauma it caused him and us but I won't be leaving him off my sight that is for sure.
